Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champ Jetshen comes home to cheers and applause

Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang along with Ministers, MLAs other senior officials and hordes of common people welcomed the nine-year-old singing sensation of Sikkim

Singing prodigy from Sikkim, nine-year-old Jetshen Dohna Lama, the winner of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs, returned home to cheers and applause as a huge crowd including Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang along with Ministers, MLAs, and senior officials welcomed her.

A reception ceremony was held at Rangpo for the young and talented sensation.

The Chief Minister, in his address, congratulated Jetshen for winning the reality show and lauded her parents for fine parenting.

He also said that he and his government would support anyone trying to make a name for themselves and the state. He thanked everyone for supporting the little champion.

The Chief Minister also appealed to everyone to support Neelam Gurung, a Gangtok-based Poet, songwriter, translator and stand-up comedian participating in the Nepali Poetry Reality Show- Nepal Poet Idol.

Political Secretary to CM, Jacob Khaling, also addressed the gathering, congratulated the winner, and thanked everyone for their support.

He further said that the Sikkkm Government is the guardian of young talents and will always be at the forefront to nurture and encourage them.

Jetshen Dohna Lama was felicitated in the programme, was presented with various tokens of appreciation, and was awarded Rs three lakh as a scholarship to enrich her musical talent with more guidance and support. Her father, Roshan Lama, thanked the Chief Minister and all the others who supported his daughter in becoming the champion.
