India has so far been cautious in its response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
On February 24, the Central government launched ‘Operation Ganga’ to bring back Indian nationals stuck in Ukraine.
Four Central ministers including Kiren Rijiju, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Hardeep Singh Puri, and General VK Singh, were deployed in neighbouring countries to coordinate the efforts for the rescue of the stranded Indians.
So far, India has been able to rescue around 20,000 stranded citizens through ‘Operations Ganga’.
