Rupa Bayor from Arunachal Pradesh has made history by becoming the first Indian Taekwondo athlete to be ranked among the world’s top 10 in the World Poomsae Ranking by World Taekwondo. She is currently ranked 9th globally, marking a major milestone for India in the sport.
“Proud to announce that Ms Rupa Bayor from Arunachal Pradesh has become India’s first Taekwondo athlete to feature in the World Top 10 ranked athletes in the World Poomsae Ranking by WT World Taekwondo! She is currently ranked 9th in the world, marking an incredible achievement as the first Indian athlete to reach this level in any format of the game!” Chief Minister Pema Khandu posted on Facebook.
