Sikkim’s batting line-up faltered in their ongoing Ranji Trophy match against Goa, getting all out for 108 runs in 46.5 overs at the SICA Ground, Mining. After choosing to bat first, Sikkim lost wickets early, with key players like Arun Chettri (7 off 41 balls), Nilesh Lamichaney (4 off 23 balls), Pankaj Rawat (7 off 33 balls), and Anwesh Sharma (0 off 6 balls) failing to make an impact.
Parth Palawat top-scored for Sikkim with a solid 39 off 65 balls, while Palzor Tamang chipped in with a quick 19 off 16 balls. Ankur Malik added 22 runs off 32 balls, but the rest of the batting order, including captain Lee Yong Lepcha (2 off 7 balls), struggled to put up a fight. Goa conceded 5 extras during the innings, and Sikkim’s final wicket fell at 108, with Bhim Lall Luitel remaining not out after facing just one ball.
Goa’s bowlers dominated, with Heramb Parab taking 3 wickets for 42 runs in 13 overs. Arjun Tendulkar impressed with 2 wickets for 31 runs in 14 overs, while Darshan Misal’s 2 wickets came at a cost of just 2 runs in 5 overs. Mohit Redkar and Shubham Tari also contributed, with Redkar taking 2 wickets for 9 runs in 3.5 overs and Tari picking up 1 wicket for 21 runs in 11 overs.
