The NRC authorities have issued a fresh public notice saying all those people whose names figure in the complete draft, or those whose names have not appeared in the additional exclusion list, besides those who have not been called for hearings from July 5, 2019 onwards have nothing to worry as their names will certainly appear in the final NRC.
The notice further said that those persons who submitted claims after non-inclusion of their names in the complete draft or excluded from it by the additional draft exclusion list, or persons who had objections filed against their inclusions, can see their status in the supplementary list of inclusion by visiting their designated NRC Seva Kendras, offices of Circle Officers and offices of Deputy Commissioners.
The notice said people can also check their status online by typing their application Receipt Number or ARN in the NRC’s official website.
The Supreme Court, which has been monitoring the NRC Update exercise, in its August 13 judgment, had asked the NRC authorities to publish only the exclusion list online.
