Over 1300 newly recruited teachers to get appointment letters on Jan 16: Meghalaya Education Minister

Meghalaya Education Minister Rakkam A Sangma said that over 1300 newly recruited teachers will be given their appointment letters in a grand function in Tura on January 16 next year in the presence of Chief Minister Conrad Sangma.

“The process of recruitment is ongoing in the entire state, the process has been completed in many subdivisions, specially Garo Hills, therefore on January 16, all the newly recruited teachers will be given their appointment letters in Tura in a big programme,” he said.

He further said, “In the second phase the appointment orders will be issued to the candidates of the Khasi-Jaintia region at a later date.”

He added that the state Government will be releasing NCERT Meghalaya edition textbooks in the same function.

“The entire EOI operation has been completed by the Meghalaya Board of School Education, we have given the printing order to the publishers and we will be releasing NCERT Meghalaya edition textbooks in the same function in Tura,” he said.
