In his message to the people of the state on the occasion of Imoinu Iratpa Numit, the day when people of Manipur prays to Ema Emoinu, the Goddess of wealth and prosperity, CM Biren Singh said that the state is passing through a tumultuous period and the “unprecedented conflict has disrupted all developmental and economic activities, breaking the developmental momentum”.

“Manipur is passing through a tumultuous period with vested interest groups attempting to disrupt the fabric of peaceful co-existence among different communities. The unprecedented conflict has disrupted all developmental and economic activities, breaking the developmental momentum which we had all become accustomed to witness in the State during the past few years.
“As we seek blessings from the Goddess, let us also join hands to rid Manipur of all the evils shackling us, preventing us from achieving what we could have achieved through our collective determination and grit. Let Ima Imoinu shower peace and prosperity to the people of the State in the days ahead. May the day bring emotional integrity among our various communities,” CM Biren Singh added.
