Nurses’ rally in Arunachal Pradesh demanding higher wages, better facilities

More than 300 nurses from Arunachal Pradesh today participated in a rally demanding higher wages and better facilities. Nurses from both private and government hospitals took part in the rally.
More than 300 nurses from Arunachal Pradesh today participated in a rally demanding higher wages and better facilities.
Nurses from both private and government hospitals took part in the rally. They will submit a ten points charter of demands to State Health Minister Alo Libang.
The charter of demands include central government payment and allowances to all the nurses’ of the state, to maintain nurse patient ratio, better facilities in nursing schools, among others.
Meanwhile, joining the nationwide protest, over thousands of trained nurses from Mizoram too joined the rally demanding their 11-point charter.
Nurses from several hospitals including Apollo Greenwood Hospital, City Hospital and 12 hundred nurses from various nursing schools participated in the rally.
Addressing a gathering in Aizawl, Mizoram State Branch President Lalremmawii said that the trained nurses in all private hospitals are being paid less and that their demands should be met at the earliest.
