Northeast Live Exclusive : Skill training for Internally displaced to make ends meet

The 14-day training which commenced on 27th September will conclude tomorrow

Amid the unrest in Manipur that is inching close to 6 months, those displaced in the turmoil appear to be slowly adapting to newer means of livelihood. In a significant initiative, the Khankholawm Banana Fibre and Food Processing Industry located at Thingzabung in Churachandpur district is engaged in imparting training on production of banana products to 30 internally displaced people and help them make ends meet. The training program aims to equip the internally displaced persons with necessary skills and knowledge on Banana fibre extraction. The 14-day training which commenced on 27th September will conclude tomorrow.
