Nadda stressed that the people’s enthusiasm proves the BJP government has become the true voice of Tripura.
BJP national president and Union Health Minister JP Nadda on Sunday said that there is no anti-incumbency in Tripura, crediting Chief Minister Manik Saha’s transparent and efficient governance for turning challenges into public support.
Addressing a public gathering at Vivekananda Maidan in Agartala during the second anniversary celebration of the BJP 2.0 government in the state, Nadda stressed that the people’s enthusiasm proves the BJP government has become the true voice of Tripura.
“There is no anti-incumbency in Tripura. Instead, people have embraced pro-incumbency due to the state’s progress under PM Modi and CM Manik Saha,” Nadda stated.
He highlighted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, Tripura has witnessed rapid infrastructural growth, improved connectivity, and digitalisation. Unlike previous governments, BJP’s policies are not just on paper but have been implemented effectively, he said.
“The excitement among the people clearly shows that the Manik Saha government has earned the trust of Tripura,” Nadda said. “BJP believes in last-mile delivery, and because of this commitment, the party has been given a second consecutive mandate in the state.”
Citing statistics, he noted that Tripura’s crime rate has dropped by 20 percent, making it the third safest state in the country. He also pointed out that the Modi government has increased Tripura’s funding five times compared to the UPA era.
“Tripura’s development has only happened when the Prime Minister was either Atal Bihari Vajpayee or Narendra Modi,” Nadda added. “The BJP’s governance model ensures that even the last person in the queue benefits.”
During the event, Nadda also announced two major welfare schemes aimed at empowering girls,
Mukhyamantri Balika Samriddhi Yojana: Every girl child born in a Below Poverty Line (BPL) family will receive a fixed deposit of Rs 50,000, which will grow to approximately Rs 10 lakh by the time she turns 18.
Mukhyamantri Kanya Atmanirbhar Yojana: The government will provide scooties to the top 140 girl students excelling in higher secondary board exams under TBSE, CBSE, or ISC, encouraging education and mobility.
The event was attended by Chief Minister Manik Saha, BJP state president and MP Rajib Bhattacharjee, cabinet ministers, MPs, and senior BJP office bearers.
