Continuing their protest demanding a permanent campus, the students of the NIT Sikkim launched a hunger strike in the NIT campus at Ravangla.
It may be mentioned that students of the National Institute of Technology have been on peaceful protest since July 25.
Even though the Sikkim government has taken up the matter with the Centre nothing substantial has come out of it yet.
Under the circumstances, the students of the institute are continuing with their protests and have now launched a hunger strike now.
