After Bhaichung Bhutia’s ‘Humro Sikkim’, a new regional political party called ‘Sikkim United Front’ was officially launched in the state’s Ranipool town today.
Former Minister of the state, Sonam Tshering Bhutia, hoisted the party flag for the first time today. The party has been founded by a group of young residents of the state.
Sikkim United Front is a registered party and has been recognised by the Election Commission. Narendra Adhikari has been elected as the president of the party. Adhikari has had no political affiliations till date.
