The students’ bodies of Northeast have declared an all out war against the proposed Citizenship (Amendment) Bill.

The Northeast Students Organisation which includes the All Assam Students Union, Khasi Students Union, Naga Students’ Federation, Garo Students Union, AAPSU, Mizo Zirlai Pawl besides other organisations are staging a massive demonstration at the Dighalipukhuri protest site in Guwahati.

Besides, the AASU is also initiating a signature campaign opposing the Citizenship Amendment Bill 2016 that grant citizenship to religious minorities from Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan facing alleged persecution.
