Utter callousness of the NEIGRIHMS authorities is exposed once again as both Director DM Thappa and Head of Cardiology department Dr Animesh Mishra have failed to file separate affidavits before the Meghalaya High Court on Thursday.
The authorities will now file their affidavits on Monday, May 20. The Meghalaya High Court had earlier asked Director Dr DM Thappa and Head of Cardiology department Dr Animesh Mishra to file an affidavit by May 16, mentioning details of the treatment provided to the deceased female patient since the time she was admitted.
Meanwhile, the Amrit Pharmacy which was also pulled up by the court could not file its affidavit.
It may be mentioned that the premier health institute in the region has been reeling under crisis due to standoff between Director Dr DM Thappa and doctors of the cardiology department.
