The Mahila Battalion members have undergone extensive training and preparation before attempting to go on the prestigious national show
The ‘Nagaland Police 15th (IR) Mahila Band’ will be seen impressing the judges by doing an incredible musical number echoing the sentiment of “Aaj Ki Naari, Sab Pe Bhaari” on the much-awaited new season of Sony Entertainment Television’s India’s Got Talent that premiered on July 29.
The teaser of the show revealed that their performance on the popular tune “Sinbad The Sailor” from “Rock On!” with a hint of folk music has impressed all three judges–Kirron Kher, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, and Badshah to get the golden buzzer to secure their place in the competition.
Impressed and awestruck by the talent displayed by the band, Judge Shilpa Shetty Kundra was heard saying: “Whenever a woman decides to do something, they go all out to achieve whatever she desires and creates an effect. Women are unstoppable.”
While, Judge Badshah said, “The feeling of listening to something beautiful for the first time is very different. I crave listening to such brilliant pieces for the first time because, being a musician myself, I know how special it is to have that once-in-a-lifetime experience that, once over, will never feel the same way again.

The band consisted of –Cn. Sashitsungla (lead), Hay. R Shoyanla (acoustic), Cn. Inaholi (rhythm), Cn. Wetsolo-u (keyboard), Cn. Tolito Shohe (vocal), Hay. ‘I’onchingsangla (bass), Cn. Sanenla (drum), Cn. Epfutsutsho-o Akami (keyboard), L/Nk. Kilemyala (drum, standby), Cn. Sophia Kath (bass, standby), NCE Nokmalemla (vocal), Nk. Lanutola (sound engineer, standby), and ABSI Ng. Saka (band I/C).
Before attempting to go on the prestigious national show, the Mahila Battalion members have undergone extensive training and preparation, dedicating almost 45 days to perfect their skills.
India’s Got Talent has always provided a national platform to budding performers.
