Home Commissioner Abhijit Sinha highlighted the long-standing need for introducing uniforms for the MTS and Peons

In a significant move, the Nagaland Civil Secretariat has announced a unique uniform for its Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) and Peons today. The initiative, led by Nagaland’s Home Commissioner, Abhijit Sinha, was officially launched in his chamber at the Secretariat in Kohima.

During the unveiling ceremony, Home Commissioner Abhijit Sinha highlighted the long-standing need to introduce uniforms for the MTS and Peons to be worn while on duty. He emphasized that the introduction of uniforms would serve a dual purpose: fostering improved discipline among the staff and instilling a strong sense of duty and responsibility.

Sinha further announced that these uniforms would be provided to the MTS and Peons free of charge.

Starting from the next day, all 567 members of this category are expected to wear these uniforms when reporting for duty.

The newly introduced uniforms were presented to Yangtsali Sangtam, the Vice President of the Nagaland Civil Secretariat Grade-IV Association.

Sangtam expressed his gratitude to the Home Department for initiating this significant step and emphasized that the uniforms would not only offer a sense of identity but also enhance the professional image of the MTS and Peons.
