The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Nagaland unit has appointed 23 new office bearers including representatives from the Jain, Marwari and Yadav communities living in Nagaland.
On Tuesday, state BJP president Benjamin Yepthomi appointed 6 state vice-presidents, 2 state general secretaries, one state general secretary (org), 6 state secretaries, a state treasurer, and an office secretary, and 6 district morcha leaders.
While appointing the new members including seniors to lead the party in the state, Yepthomi, tried to fulfill Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment by giving women one-third representation in the new team.

In another notification, state chief secretary J Alam announced the nomination of State BJP president Benjamin Yepthomi as co-chairman of the People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA) coordination committee with immediate effect.
