Nagaland: 3 athletes win medals at World Sepaktakraw Championship

Viseyie Koso from the DGP sports team won a Gold medal and Akumtila and Sezovelu from the state sports Academy brought home the Bronze medal.

Adding another feather to the Nagaland sports fraternity, three athletes from the State won medals at the 35th Kings Cup World Sepaktakraw Championship.

The Department of Youth Resources and Sports Nagaland, Deputy Commissioner Dimapur, DDSC, DGP Sports team, and Nagaland Sepaktakraw Association accorded a warm welcome reception ceremony at Dimapur Airport in honor of the three Sepaktakraw players who represented India at the recently concluded 35th Kings Cup World Sepaktakraw Championship held in Bangkok- Thailand.

Viseyie Koso from the DGP sports team won a Gold medal and Akumtila and Sezovelu from the state sports Academy brought home the Bronze medal.

Organizations including Thuvopisumi organizations, Viswema Youth Organization, Dimapur Merangkong Senso, family members, and well-wishers were also present.

Meanwhile, the Thuvopisumi Youth Association Dimapur, Thuvopisumi Welfare Union Dimapur, Thuvopisumi Women Dimapur along with presidents and colleagues of Western Chakhesang Hoho and Western Chakhesang Mothers Association also welcomed the winners at the reception program.
