Mizoram Rajya Sabha MP, K Vanlalvena has requested help from the Center for assisting Myanmar refugees currently taking shelter in Mizoram.
Addressing the parliament, Vanlalvena informed that over 15,000 Myanmar nationals are currently taking refuge in different parts of Mizoram following the military coup in Myanmar.
While most of the refugees are camped at 15 relief camps set up jointly by the state government and civil society organisations, some are accommodated by their relatives.
