Towards achieving 100% vaccination which has emerged as indispensable in the fight against COVID-19, a mobile campaign vehicle for vaccination was flagged off at West Tripura District on Saturday.
The mobile campaign vehicle was flagged off by the Additional District Magistrate of West Tripura District, Ashim Saha.
Notably, it was the Voluntary Health Association of Tripura that came forward with the mobile campaign vehicle to create awareness across the district, which recorded a recent surge in COVID-19 cases.
The Additional District Magistrate said that the mortality rate as well as the severity of conditions due to COVID infection has drastically decreased due to vaccination. He further said that the number of patients admitted to hospitals for treatment is low, and hence vaccination is vital. The campaign activities are important to ensure 100 percent vaccination.
