Mizoram: Lalthangliana inaugurates 10 bedded ICU ward

HDFC Bank also donated various equipment worth over Rs 13 lakh to the Government of Mizoram to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
Mizoram Health Minister Dr R Lalthangliana inaugurated 10 ICU beds with other essential equipment funded under HDFC Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility programme “Parivartan” at Aizawl civil hospital.
Speaking at the inaugural function, the Health Minister expressed his gratitude, on behalf of the State government and the people of Mizoram to HDFC bank and requested HDFC officials to explore more possibilities to extend the CSR programme to other district hospitals of the state.
Dr ZR Thiamsanga, MLA and Vice-chairman of the Health & Family Welfare Board also acknowledged the help extended by HDFC bank in Mizoram’s fight against COVID-19.
Apart from the 10-bed ICU at Aizawl Civil Hospital, HDFC Bank under its CSR programme “Parivartan” donated 5 Motorised ICU Bed, 5 Multi Para Monitor, 5 Suction Machine, 5 BiPAP Machine, 5 CPAP Machine, 2 Ventilator and 3 Median Transport Ventilator each to Lunglei Civil Hospital and Siaha District hospital on June 16, 2022.
The Bank also donated various equipment worth over Rs 13 lakh to the Government of Mizoram to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
HDFC Bank, India’s leading private sector bank, under its flagship CSR programme ‘Parivartan’ has partnered with Project Management Unit to install a 10-bed ICU with high-quality medical equipment and essentials in Mizoram. PMU is part of the Health Department of the state government.
