Mizoram celebrates 155th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi

Along with the rest of the nation Mizoram today observed Gandhi Jayanti.

Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu led the ceremony in Aizawl where he was accompanied by other dignitaries including Assembly Speaker Lalbiakzama, Ministers Vanlalhlana, Dr.Vanlalthlana, Lalthansanga and Prof. Lalnilawma. Rich floral tributes were also paid as a mark of reverence and respect to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi on his 155th Birth Anniversary at a solemn function organized at PUC Campus, College Veng. Chief Secretary Dr.Renu Sharma and other senior officials also paid their respects at the function.
