The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Mizoram has gained a political advantage as three MDCs from the Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) joined the party on December 21. This move gives the BJP a majority with 12 MDCs, enabling it to form a stable government in the Chakma Autonomous District Council (CADC).
Mizoram BJP President Vanlalhmuaka confirmed that the party will officially stake its claim to form the council’s government by submitting a letter to the Governor on Monday. The BJP MDCs have reiterated their commitment to providing a stable and effective government for the Chakma Autonomous District Council, ensuring progress and development for the region.
