Minor raped and murdered in Dhubri

Inhuman acts of minor rapes in Assam is just refusing to die down. This time the state has been shamed once again after a minor was allegedly raped and murdered at Raniganj of Bilasipara in Dhubri district.

According to eye witnesses, the accused identified as Gauri Shankar Nath had lured the seven year old minor from her home and then took her with him on a bicycle.

However, the accused who is a known person to the victim’s family returned home alone after a few hours. When enquired the accused came under suspicion as he disclosed that the child went missing suddenly.

Soon the victim’s family went in search of the missing child but failed to trace her and finally moved the police. Subsequent to this, the cops conducted search operations in the area and recovered the victim’s dead body from a paddy field.
