MHA’s Crucial Peace Talks with Meitei and Kuki Zo Representatives in Delhi Concludes

The Union Home Ministry today held an important meeting with representatives of both the Meitei and Kuki Zo community in the national capital as part of the efforts to restore permanent peace in the state. The meeting assumes a lot of significance since it is part of the initiatives made by the Centre to resolve the conflict that began on May 2023. Reports quoting sources said that the meeting was aimed at enhancing trust and cooperation between the Meitei and Kukis besides chalking out a roadmap to bring peace in the state. Reports mentioned that the talks also focused on maintenance of law and order and facilitating reconiliation between the two communities.
