State BJP president, Ernest Mawrie has outrightly rejected the statements made by party national vice president and Meghalaya in charge M Chuba Ao stating that the party is facing internal rumblings.
Mawrie also disagreed that a section of disgruntled leaders want to remove him as the state BJP president over the Rajabala-by poll debacle. In this context Mawrie said that party leaders from Garo Hills including state BJP Vice-president Bernard Marak back him as the Meghalaya BJP president.
Ernest Mawrie wondered as to how his party leaders can blame him for the poll drubbing in Rajabala, when the name of the candidate was put forward by the district committee and then given nod by the core committee and the election committee.
The Meghalaya BJP Chief said that his doors are always open to any person who want to discuss anything with him and is even ready to meet if there are any dissident group.
