In a significant move, the Meghalaya High Court has directed the Director of the NEIGRIHMS, Dr DN Thappa and Head of Cardiology department Dr Animesh Mishra to file an affidavit
In a significant move, the Meghalaya High Court has directed the Director of the NEIGRIHMS, Dr DN Thappa and Head of Cardiology department Dr Animesh Mishra to file an affidavit by May 16, mentioning details of the treatment provided to the deceased female patient since the time she was admitted.
Further, the High Court has asked Cardiology Department Head, Dr Animesh Mishra to file another affidavit wherein he has to provide the details of the meeting headed by the state Additional Chief Secretary.
Additionally, the role of Amrit Pharmacy has also been questioned by the High Court. It has been alleged that the Pharmacy did not provide the equipment needed even after it assured to provide the items in five to six hours, during the meeting held between the hospital authorities, state secretaries and the health ministry.
The Pharmacy, as such, has been asked to file an affidavit mentioning the steps it took post the crucial meeting.
