In a bid to ensure the safety of the people and the buildings, the Meghalaya Cabinet on Friday tightened the building bye laws and put a blanket ban on construction

In a bid to ensure the safety of the people and the buildings, the Meghalaya Cabinet on Friday tightened the building bye laws and put a blanket ban on construction of buildings on land with a slope of 50 degree or more. It put a cap on the height of buildings to be cleared by Meghalaya Urban Development Authority (MUDA).
