As the Ranikor and South Tura by polls are nearing in, Meghalaya Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong on Thursday expressed confidence while stating that the NPP is up and ready to deal with any odds and that there is nothing to worry for the NPP as far as the by polls are concerned.
Despite the call for support made by Chief Minister and NPP Chief Conrad Sangma to its coalition partner for the Ranikor and South Tura by polls, the PDF, UDP, BJP and HSPDP recently met at the residence of UDP chief Donkupar Roy to decide upon a common candidate which however remained inconclusive.
Talking to newsmen, Tynsong said that it is the duty of the NPP to ask and request for support from its coalition partners to ensure the win of Meghalaya Democratic Alliance leader Conrad Sangma.
Tynsong added that the people have clearly shown their mandate in the favour of the NPP in the recently concluded General Assembly elections which clearly showed their trust and faith on the NPP.
