Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma took his first dose of COVID-19 vaccine at the Civil Hospital in Shillong on Friday.

The Chief Minister appealed to all the frontline workers and senior citizens in the state to get inoculated.

After receiving his first dose of the Coronavirus vaccine, Sangma taking to his official Twitter handle said, “Took my 1st #CovidVaccine shot at Civil Hospital, Shillong today. I encourage all our frontline workers and senior citizens to take the vaccine for their protection.

On Thursday, the state reported two new COVID-19 cases, pushing the overall tally to 13,985.
