The Meghalaya BJP is all set to file RTI on the status of all centrally sponsored schemes in the State. The move comes after the party lodged an FIR with the CBI on the alleged Rs 267 crore corruption charges on the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) and Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council (JHADC).
The money was sanctioned under the Special Assistance Grant (SAG) by the central Government.
Meghalaya BJP Chief, Ernest Mawrie informed that the BJP is preparing RTI applications for all the Central sponsored schemes and if they find any corruption in any department they will not be spared.
It may be mentioned that the State BJP has recently levelled allegation of corruption amounting to 267 crore rupees in the GHADC and the JHADC. The amount was given under the Special Assistance Grant.
