Meghalaya beats Uttar Pradesh 3-0 to win Subroto Cup 2024 Sub-Junior Boys (U-15) tournament

The Winners received Rs. 4,00,000 while the runner-up received Rs. 2,00,000.

Meghalaya beat UP by 3-0 to win the 63rd edition of Subroto Cup International Football Tournament for Sub-Junior Boys (U-15) today at ASC ground , Bengaluru.

During the tournament, the teams were divided into eight groups and a total of 71 matches were played from league stage to the final amongst 38 teams across various IAF and Army units in Bengaluru.

Chief Guest of the event, Air Marshal Nagesh Kapoor AOC-in-C Training Command addressed the players.

He congratulated all the participants, complimented officials and organizing committee for successful conduct and for upholding the spirit of sportsmanship.

The winners received Rs. 4,00,000 while the runner-up received Rs. 2,00,000. The losing semi-finalists received Rs. 50,000 each while the losing quarterfinalist teams received Rs. 25,000 each.

The oldest and most prestigious inter school football tournament of the country started with all its grandeur earlier this month on August 19, 2024 at Air Force Station Jalahalli with the inaugural match.
