A massive fire broke out at the market area of Changlang district in Arunachal Pradesh on Thursday evening, leaving almost nine shops gutted to ashes.
Fire brigades rushed to the spot along with a team including 14AR, CRPF, Bazar committees to douse the flames.
However, no loss of life has been reported. The exact worth of the damaged properties is yet to be determined.
According to reports, government had allotted small vans with a capacity of only 200 liters for the entire Changlang district headquarter to fight out the fire occurrences in the market areas.
The victims further requested the authority to equip the market area with sophisticated fire-extinguishing gadgets at the earliest so that the land lock town of Changlang district is saved from any further fire accident.
