Manipur Police have arrested another accused, a juvenile in connection with the brutal case of two women being paraded naked in the violence-hit state bringing the total number of arrests to six.
Police said that efforts are on to arrest the remaining culprits by conducting raids at many suspected hideouts.
The first arrest was made on Thursday morning, a day after the video had gone viral (July 19) when police caught Huriem Heradas (32) from Thoubal district.
All the 5 accused arrested earlier have been sent to police custody for 11 days for further investigation.
A viral video has been in circulation for the past few days of a mob dragging two women who were already stripped by them earlier.
The video demonstrated the scale and nature of the ongoing violence.
The viral video is reported to be of May 4, the early days of the ethnic strife in Manipur that started on May 3.
