Manipur Unrest: Army’s Spear Corps Denounces Fabricated Attempts To Malign Image Of Assam Rifles

The Spear Corps of the Indian Army has issued a statement clarifying recent incidents from Manipur involving Central Security forces, which according to the Army, inimical elements have tried to question the role and integrity of the Central forces, especially the Assam Rifles based on the incidents. The incident in question, points to the recent viral video which showed Assam Rifles and State police personnel apparently engaged in a confrontation in Bishnupur’s Kwakta. The Army stated that misunderstandings do take place at the functional level but are all immediately addressed.
