Manipur unrest: 3 killed in fresh firing in Kamjong

The deceased villagers have been identified as--Jamkhogin Haokip (26), Thangkhokai Haokip (35) and Hollenson Baite (24)
More than 115 days have passed since the first day of ethnic violence in Manipur, but the situation remains volatile as incidents of fresh violence being reported from the state often. As many as three villagers were killed in a fresh firing in Kamjong district today.
As per inputs, heavy gunfire broke out at Thawai kuki village under Phungyar Sub-division in Kamjong district this morning.
Sources said that soon after the firing three villagers had gone missing. After a hectic and thorough search was conducted by Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) in the nearby surrounding villages and forest areas, the bodies of the missing trio were recovered.
The deceased villagers have been identified as–Jamkhogin Haokip (26), Thangkhokai Haokip (35) and Hollenson Baite (24).
