Manipur University impasse: MUSU threatens to intensify protest

Talking exclusively to Northeast Live, Manipur University Students Union President Dayaman Singh reiterated that the state government must pressurise the Centre to resolve the crisis by removing Adya Prasad Pandey as the vice chancellor of Manipur University. The MUSU has also warned to intensify their protests in the coming days.
Meanwhile, the Manipur University Teachers Association has called for constituting an independent enquiry committee including a retired judge of a high court or supreme court and a retired vice chancellor of a reputed university.
MUTA spokesperson Nimai Singh said that the centre must look forward to resolve the crisis soon and urged political parties, union human resource department to persuade the vice chancellor to step down.
