As part of his 4-day in poll-bound Manipur, the NPP National President campaigned in Churachandpur district to drum up support for as many as six candidates in fray from the area.

Addressing party workers in 60 Singngat assembly constituency among others, Sangma stated that the NPP refelcts the voice of the people of Northeast.
The Meghalaya Chief Minister once again expressed confidence that the NPP will emerge single-largest in Manipur.
It needs to be mentioned here that the NPP National President arrived in the state yesterday and released the final list of NPP candidates for the polls.
Party tickets were handed out to 9 candidates yesterday including 2 sitting MLAs, Y Erabot Singh and M Rameswar Singh from Wangkhei and Kakching constituencies. The two were denied BJP tickets and had defected to NPP since.
