Manipur: Police recovers huge cache of arms, ammo, explosives in Imphal East

A combined team of Manipur Police and security forces conducted search operations in 3 villages for about nine hours
Manipur Police today recovered a huge cache of arms, ammunition and explosives from Imphal East district.
Based on specific inputs, a combined team of Manipur Police and security forces conducted cordon search operations in 3 villages–Sanjenbam khullen, Gouranagar and Terakhong under Lamlai Police Station of Imphal East district. The combined team were divided into smaller groups and they conducted multiple combing operation in these three villages for about nine hours.
During the search operation, one .303 rifle with an empty magazine, one SMG carbine with an empty magazine, one AK MA-3 MK II with 1 empty magazine, one 9 mm pistol with an empty magazine, 20 pieces of 36 HE grenades without detonators, one empty AK 47 magazine, two empty INSAS magazine, one empty INSAS LMG magazine and one empty M16 magazine were recovered.
The recovered items have been handed over to Lamlai Police Station for further legal formalities.
