Troops of Indian Army busted a temporary hideout used by NSCN-IM cadres near Nungkhao in Tamenglong district of Manipur.

According to sources, the Indian Army launched an operation in the vicinity of Tamenglong district based on the information they received about the presence of NSCN-IM cadre.

Defence sources informed that on detecting the movement of security forces, the cadre abandoned their hideout and fled from the spot, leaving behind a huge quantity of arms, ammunition and other weapons.

The recovered items have been handed over to police for further investigation.
