Teachers in Manipur have joined the protest demanding immediate implementation of 7th Pay Commission in the state. Many of them staged a sit-in protest in capital city Imphal.

The protest was organised by Teacher’s community under the aegis of Council of Teachers’ Association.

It is to be mentioned here that this is the first time that the teaching fraternity of the state have showcased their support during cease work strike launched by state government employees demanding 7th Pay Commission, but no solution has been reached yet.

The meet was chaired by Chief Minister N. Biren Singh who was accompanied by chief secretary Dr J Suresh Babu.
