The National People’s Party (NPP) is on a Mission Mode to accomplish its goal of making the mark in the upcoming Manipur assembly elections. In fact the NPP has become the first political party in the state to release its manifesto highlighting its agendas for the poll battle.
Manipur NPP’s Election Committee Chairman and Deputy Chief Minister Yumnam Joykumar Singh speaking exclusively to Northeast Live said the party will contest in 40 seats out of the total 60. Joykumar Singh expressed confidence that the NPP will win at least 20 seats.
The Manipur deputy chief minister also ruled out any pre-poll alliance but will decide on aligning with any party only after the election results.
The NPP manifesto meanwhile highlights 13 key agendas ranging from political stability, repeal of AFSPA, Education, Economy & Infrastructure Development, Agro-based Industries & Renewable Energy, the establishment of State Sport Academy, etc.
Meanwhile, Meghalaya Chief Minister and NPP national president Conrad Sangma who launched the party manifesto also highlighted his party’s commitment to serving the people.
