7 Manipur MLAs Meets NEDA Convenor and Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma in Guwahati Today

The delegation requested CM Sarma to impress the Kuki community leaders from Assam to help restore peace in Manipur.

A delegation of Manipur MLAs including BJP, NPP and JD-U MLAs and Manipur BJP’s General Secretary met North-East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) Convenor and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in Guwahati today.

They sought his guidance on restoring peace and stability in Manipur, which has been grappling with recent violence.

The delegation requested CM Sarma to impress the Kuki community leaders from Assam to help restore peace in Manipur.

The delegation included BJP MLAs K. Govindas Singh, Kh. Ibomcha Singh, Th. Shyamkumar Singh, and L. Susindro Meitei, along with NPP MLAs Th. Shanti Singh and M. Rameshwar Singh. JD(U) MLA Md Abdul Nasir and BJP Manipur Pradesh General Secretary K. Sarat Singh were also part of the discussions.

The MLAs had attended the Hun festival of the Thadous held in Guwahati.
