Manipur lad to compete at Rubaru Mr India 2022

Banner Lanamai James from Manipur’s Senapati district is all set to bring home India’s biggest men’s pageant award, the Rubaru Mr India title as he makes his way into the finalists for the event scheduled for later this year.

Banner Lanamai James, son of Karaiba Pungdina and (Late) James Lanamai from Poumai Naga tribe of Manipur’s Senapati District, has been selected to compete at India’s biggest pageant competition for men, Rubaru Mr. India.

The-22-year old who stands 6 feet tall is a freelance model and at the same time is pursuing his master’s degree in English literature and linguistics.

Banner’s selection is a significant event in the pageant’s history as he will be vying for a back-to-back victory for Manipur at the Rubaru Mr. India competition.

The previous year also, Manipur’s Songashim Rungsung was named the winner of the prestigious competition held in Goa. This year, Banner will compete at the event to bring the prestigious title back to Manipur for the second time in a row.

Banner informed that he has been working really hard as he would not only be representing himself but his family, his community, and his state. The contestant is hopeful that he would bring the title home this year.
