Manipur: Illegal arms & ammo seized from Myanmar national

In a major breakthrough, a combined team of 5th Assam Rifles and Manipur Commando team arrested a Myanmarese national along with Arms and Ammunition.

The arrested person has been identified as 40 year old U. Aung Bo Bo Thant of Tamu District in Myanmar. Acting on a tip off, the team carried out a search operation on Saturday, during which they recovered 2 pistols- one Glok 9mm pistol and one Sig Sauer 9mm pistol, 41 live rounds along with 5 mobile phones and 2 files containing personnel documents and cards from his possession.

The arrested person along with the seized items has been handed over to Moreh Police Station for further necessary actions.
