Manipur Govt to hold assembly session before September 2
First Published: 12th August, 2023 21:07 IST
Authorities in Manipur are getting ready to hold the next session of the state assembly before September 2.
The monsoon session of the state assembly will be held before September 2 because as per the Assembly norms every state has to hold the Assembly session every six months. The last session of Manipur Assembly was held in March.
The authorities are also considering allowing MLAs to join the session online in case they are unable to be present in person. The decision to provide the online option to participate in the discussion has been taken keeping in view the unrest that has prevented the 9 Kuki-Zo MLAs from visiting the valley since May 3.
