Manipur CM resolves to provide financial help and benefits to displaced persons

Took resolutions to provide further financial assistance and benefits to displaced persons for their aid & welfare

Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Thursday said that his government is committed to provide financial assistance to displaced people and work for their welfare.

The Chief Minister, alongside his cabinet colleagues and Rajya Sabha MP Leishemba Sanajaoba highlighted the state’s commitment to maintaining peace and normalcy and engaged in thorough discussions addressing the urgent problems faced by the displaced population.

Taking to X, CM Singh wrote, “Chaired a meeting with my cabinet colleagues along with Hon’ble Rajya Sabha MP, Shri Leishemba Sanajaoba at my official residence today.”

“Discussed on the measures being undertaken for the welfare of the displaced persons and the ongoing efforts to safeguard peace and normalcy in the state”, he added.

“Took resolutions to provide further financial assistance and benefits to displaced persons for their aid & welfare”, he further added.

Earlier, the Manipur government distributed one-time financial assistance to beneficiaries under Special Scheme for Education of Children of Labour Card Holders staying at Relief Camps.

One-time financial assistance of a sum of Rs. 5000 was handed over to the beneficiaries by the Chief Minister.
