Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh has assured the agitating government college teachers of the state, that their demand for implementation of 7th Pay Commission would be addressed through discussion.

Talking to newspersons, the chief minister said that he will invite representatives of the college teachers to resolve the issue.
Meanwhile, normal functioning in colleges was affected for the second day on Tuesday as teachers stayed away from imparting lessons as a mark of their protest.
Earlier, the Federation of Government College Teachers’ Association had alleged that the government has not paid heed to their demands despite repeatedly requesting the Chief Minister to fulfill their demands at the earliest.
