A leopard that had caused panic and fear in the Fatasil Ambari area of Guwahati, was finally captured after a four-hour long rescue operation.

Three persons including 2 forest workers and 1 labourer were injured in the leopard’s attack.

The injured were rushed to Guwahati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) and are now safe.
The leopard strayed into an under-construction building in the Fatasil Ambari area and attacked a local youth.
One of the persons involved in the operation to capture the leopard said, “We first tried to capture the leopard by spreading a net but it did not allow us the time to do that. Then he came down and attacked two of our members, we then shot a dart, which connected and only then it was brought under control.”
