Kerala BJP state President PS Sreedharan Pillai has been appointed as the Governor of Mizoram.

President Ram Nath Kovind, in a communique on Friday, announced the appointment.

After Kummanam Rajasekharan demitted the office of Mizoram Governor, Assam Governor Jagdish Mukhi was holding the additional charge of Mizoram Governor.

Sreedharan Pillai would be the third Malyali occupying the office of Mizoram Governor. Pillai’s appointment will take effect from the date he assumes charge of his office.
